Karan Johar Is On Top Of The World; Says, 'I Feel Like A Proud Papa Yet Again' As Sidharth Malhotra Gets Rave Reviews For Shershaah
Sidharth Malhotra has been getting rave reviews ever since the biopic Shershaah began streaming on Amazon Prime Video on Thursday. Shershah producer Karan Johar who had discovered Malhotra for the big screen in Student Of The Year in 2012 can’t stop preening.

“I feel like a proud papa yet again! It’s amazing how I feel for all three of them(Sidharth Malhotra, Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan whom Karan introduced in Student of the Year). That feeling of paternal love kicked in with them,” says Karan who now has his own twin children Ruhi and Yash.

Alia is now a Sanjay Leela Bhansali heroine. And Karan Johar has more reason to be proud,

“He is going to make her an even better actress than she is, as he does with all his artistes,” says Karan who is all set to direct a love story with Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh entitled Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.

About Sidharth Malhotra’s performance,  London’s The Guardian critic writes, “Sidharth Malhotra, ever handsome, mostly upright, sensing he needn’t flex too hard to emerge looking like a sweetheart. As the film switches between Batra’s personal and professional lives, its star successfully runs the trickiest gauntlet: trying not to look too gawky in the shell suits of college flashbacks. Malhotra and an unusually deglammed Kiara Advani (as Batra’s beloved, Dimple) can’t credibly resemble undergraduates, but they share a fond, tender chemistry."
